Zayin and I fought a 200 point game, a “Supply Run” mission at Onza. Not sure what Aleph was up to, but I didn’t really like it so I stomped on them with a beetle tank.
Zayin apparently forgot to program his Tacbots with firearm proficiency. He just couldn’t roll dice this game, rolling 20s when he needed 5s and 1s when he needed 15s.
A fairly boring game, unfortunately, since my Maghariba Guard just stomped around the battlefield and shot everything to death. The only real highlight was the Tuareg Assault Hacker and the Deva Hacker having a keyboard duel, which my Tuareg managed to win after 5 attempts, causing the Deva to be Isolated. For good measure the Ghulam LT shot the Deva to death with his trusty HMG, more out of spite than tactics. The Tuareg then opened the techcoffin and ran away with the data pack, and Zayin wasn’t able to open one himself by game’s end.
The pictures, in order:
The first two pictures are recycled shots from a previous battle, but the table setup was the same. We treated the rocks as infinitely tall again.
A picture from later in the game with my Maghariba Guard lurking in the river.
Aleph deployment. The orange tokens are Netrods.
Uh, another shot of my Maghariba Guard lurking in the river.
The Maghariba Guard and its stupid silhouette.
The Maghariba Guard on the left and his eternal foe (a Sophotect) on the right.
The Sophotect, dying after rolling a 20 on his dodge.
