Infinity night at the local game shop!
This was the second game of the night, and the second game played against Zayin and his Aleph. I really like the supplies mission for it’s simplicitiy, but it’s also button-pushy enough to need to engage in some clever tactics.
The board was supposed to represent a high point on Mount Skillion, but we didn’t use any terrain rules, just tried to make line of sight hard to come by. Seems to have worked, and we didn’t poke our eyes out with any little trees.
Zayin is really starting to dial in on how Aelph works, and seems to be having fun with the game as well. Always great when both players enjoy the game.
Our deployment was very similar to the first game we played, since we had the same table edges.
Zayin’s left flanking hacker managed to make it up to the supply box, and open it without me being able to do much, because I was locked down by a big ol’ machine gun.
I was later able to kill the hacker, but the HMG ran away with loot and be damned if I could do anything about it.
Keesan was able to open the supply box in the middle of the field, but she would be hit by a grenade, which would kill both her and her Kumotail friend. The Kamael LT would be unscathed by the interaction, and run up to take the supplies from the tech coffin, then run away like a small child into the recesses of my deployment zone.
An Asura would make a blind leap of faith after exchanging fire (haha) with a Makaul, and then be hit by a Kamael Forward observer, who had also managed to steal some loot for a tech coffin. When your K1 rifle is down, a well placed shot from a combi seems to do just fine against armour 6.
Overall we both had a lot of fun, but Tohaa won the day.
